Sad news from Simply Fertility

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our friend and colleague Andy Glew, one of the two founders and Laboratory Director of Simply Fertility, lost his battle with a brain tumour on the 27th March 2020. He died peacefully at home with his wife and best friend, Sarah.

Over the last 8 months Andy taught us all what the words bravery, courage and acceptance really mean. When asked if he was angry or fed-up with his diagnosis, he would simply reply “What would be the point in that?”.

Andy GlewLots of us will remember him for his positivity, for always being willing to help anyone, and for his love of life and people. He had that cheeky smile on his face until the end.

As embryologists, Andy & Sarah dreamt of building a clinic in Chelmsford and together they achieved their dream. Andy was dedicated to supporting patients and was immensely proud of Simply Fertility and the team that looked after their patients and colleagues with such passion and dedication.

TFP has 5 brand values: Care, Expertise, Passion, Trust and Innovation – Andy lived every one of these.

Goodnight Andy, tonight your TFP family will raise a glass in your memory. We are privileged to have known you and shared so many moments with you. You will be sorely missed by us all.

Before he died, Andy set up a fundraiser for Farleigh Hospice. I’m sure he would have been delighted if anyone was able to donate to them in these tough times.
